Remembering with Love,
Mother and Grandmother
Kathleen Louise Libby
Oct. 19, 1942 – April 29, 1998

Little did we know
When we woke up that morning
The sorrow that day would bring,
The call was sudden,
the shock severe,
To part with the one we loved so dear.
You were gone before we realized
And only God knew the reason why,
Your presence we miss,
Your memories we treasure,
We will keep you near forever.
Our hearts still ache in sadness
And our silent tears still flow,
For what it mean to lose you
No one will ever know.

What moves through us is a silence,
    a quiet sadness,
a longing for one more day,
    one more word,
    one more touch,
we may not understand why you left this earth so soon,
or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye,
    but little by little,
we begin to remember not just that you died,
    but that you lived.
And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
