1 Samuel 13: 13, 14

Samuel said to Saul, “You have acted foolishly; you have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which He commanded you, for now the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

“But now your kingdom shall not endure The LORD has sought out for Himself a man after His own heart, and the LORD has appointed him as ruler over His people, because you have not kept what the LORD commanded you.”  (NASB)

Once again, I am privileged to be able to study David – a man after God’s own heart, through a study by Beth Moore called “A Heart Like His.” I did this study about 4 years ago and have just recently began it again with a different group of ladies. I’m sure that having done it before will not be a problem, it is as fresh to me as if I had never studied it before – I don’t know what that says about me – do I have a bad memory or did I not pay enough attention the first time around? I’m not sure what it means but I am enjoying it again and hope to retain some of the information this time but more importantly, apply the lessons to my life so that I can be obedient to God and learn what it means to have “a heart like his.”
